IMHO, short-sighted, high-profit invention, consumer desire for everything “new-and-improved,” and extraordinary regulatory laxity have each played a role in causing the global issues we’re facing now. Did you know that since the chemical industry took off in the 1940s and ’50s, over 80,000 new chemical compounds have been introduced to the marketplace–with minimal testing for their impact on health and the environment?
As Community Liaison and co-producer of the film “Unacceptable Levels,” l’m excited to share this entertaining & eye-opening documentary on industrial chemicals in our environment, and in ourselves. The focus is on solutions, and inspiring people to take action.
You can help us take action by watching, and sharing our film with your community. Our motto is “Learn – Think – Act.”
And while talking about industrial toxins in the environment, we can’t quietly wash over the pervasive use of pesticides, one of the 12 segments addressed in Unacceptable Levels (“Pesticides and Other -Cides”). This new documentary will be focusing on the use of glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup weed killer. Please “like” the film’s Facebook page and follow posts on Twitter (@new_resistance). Release expected: Fall 2015.
